Re: Ohio 2016

Edit: Yes, I did see the 5 point penalty. But, for full out proven cheating? Are seriously being THIS lenient?

Something's rotten in Denmark.

Re: Ohio 2016

Um, I was under the assumption that Centerville was disqualified from EV... for, ya know, cheating? Can somebody please explain their 2nd place? I'm legit confused. I was also under the assumption that they were videotaped cheating by 2-3 other teams. I'm fairly certain they got something close to 4...

Re: Ohio 2016

Congrats to Region 1! I believe places are as follows: 8. Beachwood 7. Mayfield 6. Kenston 5. Mentor 4. Solon 3. Solon 2. Chardon 1. Mentor Looks like Mentor is still on the rise! Do you have point scores? Unfortunally, I only caught Chardon, Mentor A, and Beachwood's scores (89, 79, and 180 respec...

Re: Ohio 2016

https://www.dropbox.com/s/d3z9kid4n4i6f8i/finalresultswsu2016.pdf?dl=0 WSU results Div C - Solon, Mentor, Mason, and Centerville are all clearly above the rest of the teams, despite all having split teams. It seems like Ohio C will be another four-way showdown. I think this might actually be more o...

Re: Chem Lab C

Were you guys able to fill up all five sheets front and back? We were only able to fill three; should we have like definitions on there? Also, will the lab and test be timed separately? Like will they give you a certain amount of time to do the test, and then give you a certain amount of time to do...

Re: Protein Modeling C

This event forum is pretty inactive but going to ask anyway. So our team at the past several competitions has been getting perfect or near perfect on both the prebuild and the onsite build. But the test portion of this event we consistently do sub-par on. Does anyone have any tips on doing better o...

Re: Chem Lab C

So for the calculators, can we bring a ti-89? It never specified on the rules about not being able to bring a graphing calculator, just a non-camera capable one. And for the clothing, will we have to wear like turtlenecks and stuff to cover up our neck or are they more lenient on that? Yes to the c...

Re: Forensics C

I have a polymer flowchart, but the problem is that it doesn't differentiate between PC and PMMA, and PETE and PVC. Do you guys have any ways you differentiate between those two pairs? I believe they all have slightly different densities, but if you're pressed for time, judge by appearance, details...
