Re: Hot Glue?
Wait darn can I get away with using regular old Gorilla Glue? As long as I clamp it real good ad don't put too much, the expansion should be fine, right?

Re: Super Glue
I am not quite sure about "safe". The package has several warnings about how it has "Possible Cancer Risk" and "May Cause Kidney Damage", but I will do whatever it takes to win this so that shouldn't be a big deal. It comes in a tube without a pipette tip or anything, b...

Re: Super Glue
I also have some "E6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive." It doesn't seem to be CA, but it looks pretty legit to me. How do you guys feel about this?

Re: Materials/Kits
How many business days does it typically take for orders of individual parts (especially the Ikara prop and rubber) to ship? I'm kinda living on the edge here.

Re: Sketchyness
How would I mount the second wing onto a biplane? Should I still use a dihedral wing design or keep both of them straight? It isn't as easy to find scioly biplane designs on the internet since MA seems to be pretty unique in its sketchyness.

Re: Super Glue
What viscosity of CA glue (Insta-cure, to be specific) would be optimal for a bridge? Does it matter?

I live in Scrub City, and our state last year had the following rule clarfications about Wright Stuff: 1) No rubber band power, free flight without any aid. It doesn't have to be a mono-plane!! Still going for max time aloft AND minimum displacement. 3) a. No commercial kits. b. Allowed materials: p...

Re: Batteries
In my defense, the motors are from the same project that the LiPo battery was from (an underwater ROV from a few years ago). But you are probably right... using only one motor will reduce the concern for having enough current draw capacity from the battery and should be fine anyway.

Re: Batteries
Would a 7.2V NiMH battery pack with a 700mAh capacity be sufficient? I'm not sure if I will be able to draw enough current from that to run 4 brushless motors... Also I'm not too pleased about this fiasco with 7.2V instead of 7.4V because I had a LiPo battery to begin with and these rules are forcin...
