Is there any official rule about alternates?

At our school, we had 3 seniors who were on the B team who did very well and won some medals at regionals. They are all equally qualified (like literally exactly). However, our school traditionally only takes 2 alternates. I'm not sure if this is some sort of rule implemented by the official SciOly ...

Dumb question but does the impounded box have to be 15 x 15 x 15 cm or does just the thermo device have to be within those dimensions and the impounded box can possess whatever dimensions? Dumb question but does the impounded box have to be 15 x 15 x 15 cm or does just the thermo device have to be within those dimensions and the impounded box can possess whatever dimensions?

What are the standard units for using the Newton's Law of cooling? Especially for the K value? Should it be in seconds, hours, minutes?

The max number of seniors on a team is 14. However, could there be an extra senior as a backup for the A team? To do stuff like trial events? The limit is 7 seniors on a single team of 15. Most of the time, alternates are not officially so - although I would recommend checking with your state organ...
