Is there any official rule about alternates?
At our school, we had 3 seniors who were on the B team who did very well and won some medals at regionals. They are all equally qualified (like literally exactly). Dumb question but does the impounded box have to be 15 x 15 x 15 cm or does just the thermo device have to be within those dimensions and the impounded box can possess whatever dimensions? Dumb question but does the impounded box have to be 15 x 15 x 15 cm or does just the thermo device have to be within those dimensions and the impounded box can possess whatever dimensions?

The max number of seniors on a team is 14. However, could there be an extra senior as a backup for the A team? To do stuff like trial events? The limit is 7 seniors on a single team of 15. Most of the time, alternates are not officially so - although I would recommend checking with your state organ...
