Re: Building Methods 2.O

So my coach mentioned to me something about some teams in my state who got the highest efficiencies making their own wood with a balsa stripper and using a 3D model to build on, can anyone give me any info tips or links on how to do any of this? :) When I built a tower for Science Olympiad, I used ...

Re: 3 Sided Tower?

It is definitely possible to make a successful 3-sided tower. I have personally witnessed several. However, if you can reach 3000 (or even 2000 for that matter), there's probably no reason for you to be doing so, as the benefit of weight loss is probably outweighed (pun not intended) by the structu...

I have had this idea on having a 3 sided tower. All the 4 sided towers have been over 5 grams. I was thinking that if I get rid of 1 side... then I might be able to reduce the weight by possibly around 1-2 grams From what I'm imagining, it might not be as good as a 4 sided tower. Has anyone tried ma...

Re: Instructions for building plane without kit?

Some good airplane build plans can be found at http://www.hippocketaeronautics.com . There is a build plan for the 2015 wright stuff though that does not meet this year's criteria. Yet there is another one from the 2009 wright stuff that does meet the dimensions but doesn't have maxed dimensions. Yo...
