Re: Hovercraft B/C
Sorry if something like this has already been posted, but we found a really good way to increase the number of pennies we could hold. When my kids were just randomly poking holes in the bottom of their skirt, they could only get 3-4 pennies on. We created a simple device in which graph paper was ta...

Re: Hovercraft B/C
здравствуйте! The benefit from mass score score is based on relative performance, and I wanted to gauge how much mass most people can lift. I can lift the 16 rolls regardless, but the additional mass can cause other complications that can decrease accuracy. As for the accuracy, I am usually within ~...

Re: Hovercraft B/C
To add to that, weight scores are much more consistent than time scores. Once you get to the point where you have a powerful hovercraft, you can guarantee the weight score is successful. Time score is less consistent; obviously, it is important, but not as important as being able to handle all 16 r...

Re: Hovercraft B/C
Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had any fluid mechanics/Div C practice tests. I was less than satisfied with mine and my partner’s performance at a recent tournament despite having the best build score, (16.89s, 16 rolls). Does anyone have any tests from fargone tournaments; your Physics II homew...

Re: Hovercraft B/C
is there a significant advantage to 3D printing?? No, I don't see why there would be. Often, when printing objects with a large area of contact to the build plate, they tend to warp. If you were to have specialty filaments or a heated bed, that would be a different story. Safest bet is to make it o...

Re: Hovercraft B/C
Are there any pots that are like less than $50? I think something like this would work, or there are slightly cheaper ones with lower wattage ratings :) This certainly doens't work for my craft. For the beefier crafts, the pots just burn and glow like pigeon. I had some organic solvent on my craft ...

Re: Thermodynamics B/C
Well it's sad to say guys, but no-one (as far as I can tell) took my test!
Here's the link to the test and answer key if you want it. PM me if you want clarification on a question.
I think I may have scared everyone off with my warnings.

THERMO MOCK TEST
Hey everyone! I've been crazy busy, but I finally completed the mock test. It took a long time to write, and I can assure you this test is exorbitantly difficult. This test was designed with a 40 minute testing period in mind, and I trust that you will not cheat and go over the allocated time! If it...

Re: Thermodynamics B/C
For those of you dying to get your hands on a challenging test, I can assure you one will be created imminently, (over Winter Break). If you wish, I can even develop rankings for scores on the tests for all to see. Let me know how you would like this to be done and importantly, what topics you think...
