Re: Potential Energy

I want to bring up an issue with the recent FAQ: CAN GRAVITATIONAL POTENTIAL ENERGY BE SUPPLIED BY THE PROJECTILE ITSELF OR MUST THE PROJECTILE BEGIN AT GROUND LEVEL BEFORE TRIGGERING? No, the projectile may not be a source of gravitational potential energy. Please review the "Examples of Energ...

Re: Digital Structures B/C [mini SO, Satellite SO]

How are cross section sizes accounted for? Suppose the minimum contact width set by the event supervisor is 6 cm and Div-B students put their bottom two attachment points at (0, -0.20, +0.06) and (0, -0.20, -0.06). Re: Ping Pong Parachute B/C

My thoughts as well. According to the rules there is a clear distinction between the "rocket", which must have a blunt nose, and the parachute, which must be attached to a ping pong ball.

Re: Nationals?

fshhhh i got 471 and 7th place Dang! I thought you were going to be over 500 for sure! I also don't like the over emphasis on jumps, but those were the rules and they were the same for everyone. It really was a challenge to get consistent jumps with enough gap distance to win. I'm curious to see ho...
