Re: Chemistry Lab C

Does anyone have any guesses for the topics next year? My guess is aqueous solutions and electrochemistry based on the 2010 and 2011 seasons with aqueous solutions, but I really have no clue.

Re: Nationals Event Discussion

I guess I'll start this off? Chemistry Lab (11th) For anyone who took this test, you probably know what I'm going to say. For those who didn't, here's the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good| This was a fairly long test (130 questions). It was completely on topic, and the difficulty came in going ...

When the AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism test is today but you don't know magnetism and only kinda know electricity... please just give me easy Gauss's Law FRQs :!: :!: :!: oh well at least none of my tests conflict with nationals this year Good luck to everyone starting AP testing this week!

Re: Chem Lab C

Let's shift over to some aqueous solutions questions:
1. What is a colligative property? List three examples.
2. 63.0g of NaCl is added to 0.300L of water at 23.0°C. What is the freezing point of the solution? The Kf for water is 1.86°C/m. Assume the density of water is 1.00g/mL at this temperature.

Re: Chem Lab C

Alright, here's your situation. You have a liter of 1 M NaOH at your disposal. There is a beaker filled with 55 mL of 0.3 M ascorbic acid (Ka 1 =8.0x10 -5 , Ka 2 =1.6x10 -12 ). 1. What is the percent ionization of the ascorbic acid? 2. What is the pH of the ascorbic acid solution? 3. How many mL of...

Re: Chem Lab C

You are tritrating 40 mL of 0.20 M acetic acid with 0.25 M NaOH. 1. Describe the materials that are required to complete this experiment. 2. Calculate the initial pH of the solution. 3. Calculate the pH after 10 mL of NaOH is added. 4. Calculate the pH of the solution at the equivalence point. Bonu...
