Re: Gravity Vehicle 20-21

Just starting next year at this event and it looks fun! I would guess changing angles might make people start over on their ramps who built max dimensions (unless angling it is ok). And going backwards may force people to start over on their cars. And its already a MTV thing. Adding a bonus would b...

Re: dominoes

for the action with the dominoes, what counts as "commercial" size? I bought ones from the dollar tree but they are quite small, would those still count?? In the rules it also states the dominoes have to be standard, meaning 1-7/8" long by 15/16" wide by 1/4" thick. If the ...

Re: Scores

You could skip 4 tasks and still get 1500 can't you? Just trying to understand scores. The max possible is 1715 (assuming you could have a 60 second timer). But 1700+ could be possible? I am sure somebody has but fitting in all actions in a 30x30x30 would be pretty cool to see. Not mine though. That...

Re: Mousetrap vehicle too heavy?

Hello, I have constructed my mousetrap vehicle but whenever I try to trigger it, it won't budge. I think it may be too heavy for the mousetrap to handle. It weighs approximately one pound, is that too much? The body is entirely 3D printed and fairly large. so I think that may be an issue. 1 lb is r...

Re: Mission Possible B

I only use 2 walls. 1 end cap, and 1 wall down the middle of the devise. It is not transparent. I don't have any walls on the 3 remaining sides or top. I assume this is fine but just checking. Rules don't really state much for a center barrier/wall.

Re: The competition: participant may designate a Timer

So, rule 4c speaks of bonus points for a designated timer which cannot use springs for power. What if we don't want these bonus points and we don't designate an action as a timer, can we have a step that uses springs for power? The answer is yes, since rule 3.a.v allows for springs. But, then we no...

Good question. I'm using an hourglass shaped tee. Guessing standard is what you can buy at walmart lol. Packing a 'regular' tee just in case. Did you submit a faq?

I also agree this would be fine.

The one people are unsure about is pulley task. And that was answered in the faq. You cannot use a golf ball counterweight if uses in a different task.

Re: Going over the line

Thank you for replying. The 4 cm was an example. Basically, what if the car goes X cm from the target point. Does this X cm matter if it's before the line, after the line (i.e. the car goes X too far), or even right or left? The rules do not state this. I am guessing, then, that going X cm too far ...
