Re: Wright Stuff C

Are there any kits out yet which conform to this years' rules? If so, would you be able to post those links?

Re: Boomilever B/C

So does this mean that the Boomilever may not touch the contact width lines but other non-touching parts may still be inside of it?

Re: Scioly Summer Study Session 2019

Hi, so I was wondering about what would happen if I were to do something on Wright Stuff; if it were to get accepted (whatever it may be, a guide, or pics) and if I were to choose not to have my plans from this year’s season publicly posted, would people with access to SSSS resources still see them ...

Re: Screw Task

Ok so my screw task was like this: There was a ball being pulled by a string, which was rotated around the screw. The screw rotated when a mass was dropped and rotated the screw... which then roasted the string pulling on the ball... it kinda worked like a pulley yet did what was said in the rules. ...

Re: Endothermic Task

Erm... ok... I’m wondering, theoretically, if you use NTC thermistors and have them cooled down, wouldn’t the resistance increase? Since the resistance reduces when heated up, I think it makes sense... That does make sense because it is correct. There are a number of ways you could use an increase ...

Re: String Task

Um I have 38 AWG nichrome... is this too small? It breaks if it’s not looped 2-8 times... and is sometimes hard to handle... what AWG nichrome would you suggest so that the wire glows but doesn’t break? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Coin Task

Couldn’t you just have the coin land onto two pieces of wire, completing the circuit? Idk, thoughts on this?

Re: Screw Task

What I have for my screw task is I have looped a string around the screw twice, have one end attached to a weight pulling down, and another end to an object on a ledge/platform. When the weight falls, it turns to screw and pulls the object off the ledge/platform. Would this work for this task?
