Re: build ideas
I thought a 4:1 ratio meant that for every 4 rotations the drive gear makes the driven gear rotates once.

Re: build ideas
Yes lol it rotates but when it is on the ground it doesn't rotate. I will try using 4:1 ratio so that the torque will increase.

Re: Motor
For the buggy we are hoping to use this motor. https://www.servocity.com/2737-rpm-premium-planetary-gear-motor The only problem is that under "electrical connection" it says you need a spade connection. The guidelines do not specifically say you can use connectors, because according to the...

Re: Motor
Thanks for the super quick reply. I'm assuming that with gears that having a higher gear ratio would make it slower, resulting in more torque? Or is it the opposite? Also, what would be considered a good gear ratio?

Re: Motor
While I'm trying to find a motor, I'm wondering if the motor should have a fast rpm or a slower rpm. I heard that a faster rpm makes the car not as accelerate as fast, and I have heard that a fast rpm also loses torque, which is better for acceleration. I was wondering which type of motor to get and...
