Re: How do you guys form your cheat sheets?

Thanks Knightmoves! Each team may bring one 2” or smaller three-ring binder, as measured by the interior diameter of the rings, containing information in any form and from any source. Sheet protectors, lamination, tabs, and labels are permitted. If the event features a rotation through a series of l...

Re: How do you guys form your cheat sheets?

I've got a question which I'm not sure goes here or not, but here it is: In binder events, can I put a book in my binder? It's slope length over vertical length: you move the object by the slope length(hypotenuse), not the horizontal leg length.

Hence the AMA would be csc(45) = ~1.41/1 = 1.41

Shape and habitat
Color helps, but even colors included in the name can be wrong due to the variety of molts - different feather coverings - being present. (e.g. "Red Crossbill" sometimes being yellow depending on the molt)

Re: Science Fair Topic Idea Needed ASAP pls help

The presence of quantum physics in everyday technology. It's interesting to see that people think of quantum physics as a far fetched branch of physics, something that only exists in sci fi and the edges of science. However, from things such as laser pointers, transistors in the most simple calculat...

Re: Ornithology B/C

I think they do, it's just that their randomization system isn''t the best - not "true random". In addition to this sometimes the wrong bird photos will be featured.

However, it is still a great way to practice for this event.

Re: Machines B/C

I just use string to connect them, along with most people (I think). You could theoretically put them side to side, but then you'd receive an extra horizontal component of force you don't want to have to deal with; just attach one above the other. Calculating ratios is best done empirically; don't u...
