Is there anything in a snap circuits kit that would help? I was looking at a kit with a motor, but it was to power a fan and I don't think that it would have enough power to lift a scissor lift

Yup, practice sessions with food. Once you get to state once and possibly travel, people will be motivated to try and make it again.

Something could happen. One year the JV team beat varsity in an event, and we were all surprised cause the JV team didn't to much to prepare. Turns out they switched the varsity and JV teams.
