Potions and Poisons during its first year didn't have much variation in tests. It was fairly the same every competition, and I can do well as long as I don't forget a conductivity meter. This year, however, had a wider array of topics for the chemistry questions. I probably would struggle some.

The trick is: be unmotivated until states, realize you don't know anything about your event, and cram every day for (in HI's case) that 2 month period. Of course, in a competitive state like CA, you might need to stay motivated the entire way. To do that, think about something related to nationals a...

...Our next trip will be to a nice little town in Belgium, Be Au Ti ful place really, chocol At es, crepe S , and the numerous military engagements. This town was completely scrambled by bombs, and to solve the clue, you’ll need to unscramble it and rebuild. I really s Ho uld make the clues harder....

Walked out with: cheese hat, pizza hat, flamingo hat, jester hat (Delaware?), french fry hat, and some small stuff.

Best deal by far was a coconut bank for a cheese hat.
