For the platform, we have an exact 6.7cm by 6.7cm platform. However, we glued it to another square below that to attach it to our mechanism. The platform holding the battery is the top one, but looking at it, there are technically two stacked squares of wood. Would this be a problem? We're planning...

Is there a standard format for this event? Last year's nationals test provided frequency tables and the Vigenere table as well, but some invitationals I've seen provide neither. What can I expect from regionals and states? Ideally they should provide the Vigenere table, letters to numbers (A = 0, B...

For the final task, our method of raising the platform may not actually stop the platform at any point because the motor we're using will continue running indefinitely. In accordance to the FAQ, can we connect an action to end the motor, or would that be considered "connected" to the task?

servos use a PWM signal to connect to an Arduino typically. but since we can't use Arduinos this year, what can we do?
