Can only speak to Mousetrap and I will be happy to defend the way it was run. The distance was of course released ahead of time, the 12 minutes made it a fair fight between teams. 9/10.

Raleigh NC regional on the weekend and (IMHO) really well run event. 9.5 distance. We came third overall when ranked in our NR teams with a distance of around 8.3 (?), Enloe varsity and JV getting scores we couldn't see but likely something like 2.0 or so. So that only tells us that either they got nailed on the design log somehow (hard to see how the would screw that up badly) or more specifically they got hurt in the test. 28 points on the test, a device that gets a full 60 only gets 5 point advantage over 55 scoring device (I work in the department...
