Re: Gravity Vehicle C

I utilize a hallway in a climate-controlled storage unit building. The cracks are about 13m apart, but it was only 1/2 the necessary track width last year. I just started on one side and let my car curve back to that side, and ignored the half of the Rules track that my car never touched...

Re: Machines B/C

Before solving, I just want to note that force is measured in Newtons, so I'll give my answer in both kilograms and Newtons :D. 1250 kg or 12250 N The kg/N thing was my error... I wanted the answer in Newtons. If you'd've showed your work in some form, I wouldn't've hadta compute it myself... I got...

Re: Machines B/C

You wish to raise one side of a 5,000 kg car to change a flat tire. You have a strong 2x4 to use as a lever, and a 15 cm high block for a fulcrum. The fulcrum is 304,000 µm from the load, and the lever is 1.52 × 10^-6 Mm long. How much force is needed to lift the car? Give your answer in kg. Assume...

He saw 2 yellow eyes in the darkness.
90% sure the character in Creationist's pfp has yellow eyes. Just saying.
They're yellow, with green around a black pupil, unless he's transposed the colors or something... MMM's logo is yellow, too...

The staff AMA will be live in less than three hours! Tune in at 8:30 ET/5:30 PT! On my mother's phone, the timestamp currently reads "Streamed 1 *[see footnote]..."... Edit: *On second thought, that truncation of a word might not be appropriate for a public forum... Although, it's also a model rail...

Re: Too Many People in My Team

Just move your team to NC, and then you'll be allowed to keep all 18 people ;)
Better yet, move 'em to this part'a Tennessee, have 'em homeschooled, and bolster our 4 people per division.

Re: Gravity Vehicle C

As for an adjustable ramp (assuming you meant adjustable height), that probably wouldn't be necessary this year, though it might be next year. You would likely want the vehicle to be as high up as possible to give it the most gravitational potential That's what I figured, but I wanted a second opin...

Probably a stupid question, but... How competitive, at a average Regional, would a Circuit Lab person be if they did the test and didn't have any sort of build? I'd guess "Not Very," but...
