Re: Times and sec/ft

This didn’t age well lmao this was only a month ago. aren't people getting just under double that already? I'm gonna call BS on this. If you want over 2 sec/ ft the calculations say you need a domed chute with a 1.5m diameter that weighs 4 grams including the ball which is 2.8 g. Good Luck! Sorry, ...

Re: Wright Stuff C

we're having trouble getting time in the gym, but i do have enough space in my basement for an unpowered glide. Is there any way to trim our planes in this limited space?

Re: Ping Pong Parachute B/C

Is ripstock nylon a good material for the parachute or are there better alternatives?
hmm it looks to be a bit thick for these purposes. I imagine that they would be a good choice for real parachutes, but for this event i would prefer some type of thin plastic bag material.

Re: Ping Pong Parachute B/C

well, you can always make your own diy launcher or buy a cheap launcher. otherwise, you could try dropping parachutes off a high place if your home has one.
check viewtopic.php?f=317&t=16053#p399974 for some links. ofc you can just do a quick google search otherwise.

Re: HELP NEEDED ASAP COMP NEXT WEEK

honestly, launching outside is so inconsistent and very susceptible to changing winds and other factors. There's also the risk that it will rain (like in NJ 2017 states)

Re: Ping Pong Parachute B/C

Sorry for asking so many questions, its just that I'm confused. My team as of now is using normal scotch tape but at our invitational we saw people using duct tape? Is that advisable or is there a type of tape you think works best for ppp? If your scotch tape is sticking fine, you're definitely bet...
