Re: Those moments you will never forget!

At our regionals, I was on the Wright Stuff team. The plane had just broken both its wing and horizontal stabilizer, the primary propeller, and the tail (twice!) in the twenty-four hours before the competition. We tried to fix it with an excess of superglue, and it held together (at least for the co...

Re: Circuit Lab B/C

I've been looking at past practice tests after doing some research on circuit lab, and I saw a y-shaped load, with a resistance on each resistor. I can't really figure out what a y-delta transform is and how that's supposed to work, and I also don't really understand how the current is supposed to f...

Re: Thermodynamics B/C Build

Hi Joey, Thanks for the previous response on reflective barriers. Do you know how much the aerogel costs? On the one hand I've heard it's prohibitively expensive (for a SciOly event), on the other hand it seems a lot of people are using it. I'm unsure about whether to buy it or stick with the EPS. ...

Re: Wright Stuff C

Hi, I'm kinda new to this event and am just reading up on what materials I need for the plane. It says to use a 15:1 ratio winder, isn't that kinda just like a gear box? Would it be OK to make said 15:1 ratio winder from my own supply of gears? Or should I buy a commercially available one? Thanks, J...

Re: Thermodynamics B/C Build

Unsure if anyone has asked before, but has anyone tested using reflective or radiant barriers against heat? Are they any good, or should you just not use it and have the container tightly hug the beaker?

Thanks <3

Rules are rules. Ce la vie
The correct French is C'est la vie :geek: (what you said is "This the life", and even if it was that, it would be cette la vie [syntax])

Re: Code Busters C [TX TRIAL]

I got super hyped that this event was going to be finding code vulnerabilities, XSS, SQL server injection, et cetera, but then I realized it was cryptography. My emotions :) :| :( :) after which I thought "cryptography isn't that bad".
