Re: Nationals Event Discussion

Hi, Enloe team here. Thank you! I actually found herp at States this year quite difficult, much more so than nats or regionals. Regarding vocalizations, there was none (I'm a bit disappointed I was never tested on a single call my whole time doing herp :'( ). If you're making an ornithology test ne...

Re: Nationals Event Discussion

Herp Div C (8): -1/10. After all the flak this event/supervisor got last year for nationals, it was really disappointing to come back and take a test that was just as easy, if not easier. The test was simply nowhere near the standard that a national, state, or honestly even regional-level test shou...

Re: Your Daily Random Comment

I feel light headed after taking a double whammy of AP tests... That's normal right? :? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Perfectly normal... took AP Lit and AP Euro yesterday and my head hurts... that's over 6 hours of testing. I'm so glad homeschool allows me to nap the day after a test...

Re: Your Daily Random Comment

"Visiting" implies spending time doing something valuable, so only if you stop and do an activity other than driving through. Pit stops and hotel stays don't count - they are part of the process of travel. Then if you were to say take a train trip through several states and in each state get out an...

MO state awards ceremony is horribly long - why does it take over 5 hours to grade Density lab.

and pop quizzes should be banned...
Our awards ceremony had 30 minutes of HDMI errors as the speakers were attempting to announce the medalists...

Re: Awesomely Run Event Stories

Everything went very well for me at NC states at NC State :). The Experimental Design supervisor was very informed about the event and knew what he was talking about. He was easy to get along with and I learned later that he is actually on the faculty of the Piedmont IB team. They are lucky to have ...

Re: Ohio 2019

So the word on the street is that the division B anatomy test had very little if anything to do with the content in the rules manual. And if you look at the scores, Anatomy was the worst or second worst event for several of the top teams including Solon, Kenston, Chardon, Tower Heights, Magsig etc....

Re: North Carolina 2019

Great job to everyone who competed! I was able to place 3rd in Herpetology in a team that hardly medalled so that felt amazing. I'm pretty surprised with all of these close wins, it'd be interesting to see if NCSSM can place well at nationals. As for WAAS, big congrats to them for making it to natio...
