It really has little to do with the hook-to-hook distance, other than you want the rubber no longer than 2x the hook-to-hook, and probably no shorter than 1x. Either the stab limit or the prop limit needs to go. A combination of both is absolutely horrible. agreed, please make this event more enjoyable :/ i get that time blocks are an issue as flights can/rather often overlap, but science olympiad is supposed to be fun, exciting, and memorable... not fru...

3 grams of 0.06+ rubber should be able to take 5000 and more turns depending on how close to breaking you're willing to go. Hopefully someone will chime in with a single good source for the best practices to use as a reference. We learned one bit at a time and we still can't get to 5000 for 0.0625&...
