Re: Gravity Vehicle C

At the NC Mockvitational (Mini), Gravity Vehicle was still run, the only building event besides Sounds of Music. My partner and I had some trouble trying to film while showing the measurements and everything for every run. The fact that our tape measure wasn't the given length didn't help at all, a...

I feel that it's much less pay-to-win than many past build events
Compared to what? Past robotics events? Because making the blanket statement "many past build events" is simply not true.

Re: Robot Tour C [TRIAL]

To your point about pay-to-win and kits: flying events generally require kits to do well, and those kits are expensive. Can the devices be made without the kits? Yes. Can a team win without the kit? No. Now this couldn’t be any further from the truth. Plain and simple let’s take a look at the most ...

Re: Helicopters B/C [Possible mini SO, Satellite SO Replacement]

From my understanding, helicopters have traditionally been made out of balsa. What are thoughts on helicopters that are made out of material that isn't balsa? (ie. paper, straws, toothpicks, other random household items.) Heli isn't being run at every single competition we're going to, so I don't w...

Re: Replaying Events for 2021

I feel sorry for the people who did not get the chance to compete at regionals and states, but I feel like retaining the same rules will mess up some team's composition because teams are always planning for the incoming years. No one would expect the rules to continue. This also will mean that the ...

Re: 2020 National Tournament: North Carolina State University

What about allowing 3 college freshmen back on any Div C team. :?: That would be a bit hard to get them from College. Bus, meets, etc. Personally, I would more concerned with the impacts it would have on underclassmen. It would result in difficult situations where you have an experienced college st...
