Re: Indiana 2020
On the subject of colleges and universities, it’s still kind of in-the-air. Colleges are all taking different approaches to the scenario. For example, IU plans to go online for November till February. On the other hand, UIUC has stated that they are pushing for restoring “face-to-face teaching” in ...

Re: Indiana 2020
- from the Purdue update If we can convince them an event is extremely important, it could be possible to work around this. I would suggest using techniques that are allowing Northern California and New Jersey to hold their state tournaments, such as: no awards ceremony, supervisors and staff with ...

Re: Indiana 2020
What was the final score for the top teams in both divisions? The website seems pretty outdated and there isn't that much info on it as far as I could tell. Carmel Blue medaled in every event and got a 45. Raymond Parks score is still unknown because they didn’t medal in like 7 events or something....

Re: Experimental Design B/C
Can anyone give an example of a "qualitative observation about results after the experiment?" Isn't the idea of experimental design to make a claim and then design an experiment to quantify it? So the results are inherently quantitative. Our team is having difficulty putting anything mean...

Re: Chemistry Lab C
Are titrations (or related-ish) labs the only ones we can expect? What else might there be? According to the rules, an example is "Use freezing point depression to determine molar mass of a solute" There are definitely a lot of labs with aqueous solutions that don't involve titrations suc...

Re: Indiana 2020
Butler C Predictions (Assuming Carmel, BHSS, and BHSN stack): 1. Carmel 1 (~59) 2. BHSS 1 * (~71) 3. Carmel 2 * (~84) 4 BHSN 1 (~102) 5. BHSN 2 (~120) 6 BHSS 2/3 (~145) 7. BHSS 2/3 (~155) *Carmel 2 beat BHSS 1 last year but by only 5 points. Both teams seem stronger this year so Butler should be int...
