Should the path taken by the golf ball be vertical linear only?
The ball path can be anything as long as the total vertical distance raised is 5cm. So the path can certainly be the arc of a circle,

There is one problem. The golf ball is too heavy, and therefore sinks in the water. I tested this even with salt water, and the golf ball still didn't rise.
use foam under the golf ball. See how it works here: https://youtu.be/c7zmzxid9SQ

Re: Action i: Gear ratio of at least 3:1

Question for everyone here: Let's say I have a gear with 10 teeth and a mating gear with 30 teeth. To achieve a 3:1 ratio is the 10 teeth gear the driving gear or the driven gear? Re: Action iv: Pour water into container to raise golf ball

https://i.imgur.com/0CBCmW3.png There are other ways to do this, of course. But this is one of them. For this to work you need to take these parts to the hardware store and the PVC pipes that fit these. Then use PVC cement to seal and also other sealants so that they don't leak. You also need to bu...

Re: Final Action: Putting the initial dropped ball to the tee

Task IX Is pulling a wedge from a golf ball and rolling it 20 cm. I am assuming you cannot use that action and combine it with this one (where the ball ends up on the tee). So using 1 wedge, 1 20 cm ramp, 1 golf tee to count for both task IX and final task. That would be considered a parallel actio...
