Re: Herpetology B/C

If I copy and paste text, most of it is just fluff that makes it harder to find. I just put the important information.

Re: Protein Modeling C

Does anyone know in general how much graders care about the length of the residues for the onsite build? I was debating if I should mark the backbone every 2 cm at the competition, as I think it would be a waste of time. Plus, all the grading rubrics I have seen so far do not require that the residu...

Re: Chemistry Lab C

Do any veterans know how lenient on significant figures? I was doing some problems and I found that answers to weak acid / base pH were sometimes different by at most ~.1 depending if you count "-x" as negligible or not even when you can use 5% rule. Would my answer still be correct if it was .1 off?

Re: Protein Modeling C

With 5vw1, I restricted it to the b chain only and found that, when I restricted it to 1-60 through 1-85 nothing happened, but when I restricted it to 1-59, some of the chain was removed, which makes me believe the b chain is 60 residues long. But I know it is at least 85 long, so how does this work...

Re: Herpetology B/C

I was researching about racers and I have come across an anomaly. There is a particular snake that's called the California whipsnake or striped racer, but whipsnakes and racers are part of different genera. Wikipedia, Reptile Database, ADW, and IUCN call it Masticophis lateralis and California Herps...

Re: Herpetology B/C

I know sexual maturity is a very common topic in herpetology. I looked up two different species in a genus and found that they have different sexual maturities. What should I do in this situation?

Re: Chemistry Lab C

Do you think if I got a 5 on AP Chem I'm good for the material I need to know? How do typical test questions and tasks compare to the difficulty of the AP test? Most of it seems pretty basic besides some weird properties we didn't cover like magnetism. I suppose I should memorize the kAs of the aci...

Re: Chemistry Lab C

I am studying for chemistry lab and circuit lab, and I have found that some stuff overlaps. For example, there is electrical resistance for both events, and magnetism in chemistry lab is related to electric field / electric charge / Coulomb's law concepts in circuit lab. How exactly do the concepts ...
