Re: Battery Buggy Wheel Stopping Mechanism

For me, my wing nut doesn't ride the stopping rod - it just pushes against it and makes this horrible noise until one of them gives out. How am I supposed to get the wing nut to "ride" the stopping rod?

Re: Speed

Madcow, I sent you a PM. Can you check it out? I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, but I've learned a lot from you and I'm really grateful.

Re: Speed

So would you say I should switch out my rear wheels with CD's? Would it be more practical to make my front or rear wheels larger if I only have one set?

Re: Speed

Each battery is a standard AA alkaline one inside of a 1.5 power cell. I'm not entirely sure about the motor RPM, but I took apart a model car and the motor inside seemed to be faster, so that's what I'm using (this is in comparison to the motors in the kit.) The wheels are the red ones that come in...

Speed

Sorry, but how do I make my vehicle faster? Right now, it's not very fast at all. My gear ratio is about a 10 tooth gear directly attached to a motor that is driving a 50 tooth gear. I'm using four batteries, and a fairly powerful motor.

Re: Battery Buggy Parts

So I have this random capacitor lying around... would it be of any help in final revisions to my battery buggy? The capacitor is a 1000 MFD gray cylinder with a wire coming out of each end.

Re: Wheels

So sorry, but what type of knuts? Hex nuts? Wing nuts? Lock nuts?

Re: Wheels

This doesn't have much to do with wheels, but I didn't want to clutter the forum, so I just stuck it on here... I'm using threaded rods as axles, but I've run into this problem where spinning them causes the entire axle to move in that direction, as well as all of the knuts and gears on the rod. I c...

Re: Anatomy and Physiology B/C

But in my experience, I've ended up memorizing so much information that was never in the test. For example, I feel if I analyze all of the layers of the pericardium, it would end up taking up half of my notesheet. Where do I draw the line of what to study and what not to study?

Re: Caliper Steering

When it comes to calipers, how do they work? If I find a way to mount it, how exactly am I setting it up? I already checked out Nestor Tchkencho's video, but I am not using bearings for regionals because they haven't come yet and just drilled holes in my chassis for the axles.
