Re: Tweaks for 2021
IMO only increased stab area is needed to make planes easier to trim. Would be interesting if they gave us the option of a "biplane" stab config with the current dimensions. Even though it's a pain to work with, I think a larger prop would just make times longer, which is the exact opposit...

Re: Ping Pong Parachute B/C
I've been testing with the Nerds Inc Model Z launcher and we've been having a problem with launcher consistency. At higher pressures (>30 PSI), the U-shaped pin does not pull out enough to release the bottle, perhaps due to the higher friction force between the pin and both the bottle and the metal ...

Would 3D printing a "shell" to contain the ping pong ball be legal if the strings from the parachute are still attached directly to the ball with tape?

Re: Rule 5c
I do it with a sharpie. Do NOT press too hard. It'll take a while to do it correctly but do it slowly. I used to do it with spraypaint, with sectioning off the rib bay and spraying from 2 or 3 feet, but that, unfortunately, doesn't seem to work anymore with the rules. Light pressure, go slow. I dar...

Re: Gravity Vehicle C
As for ramp surface materials, I think a stiff-ish vinyl material could be good depending on how you implement it and attach it to the base of the ramp. I know previously my school used a wooden base and acrylic for the surface material which seemed to work well. How did you manage to bend the acry...
