Re: States

They either have a godly buggy or they got reallly lucky. Idk, maybe its a troll Its bs lol 1.9 seconds is faster than my run at nats (2.086, fastest run at nats last year) while it is bs its probably possible even with dc motors I mean, you can buy a 3000 rpm dc motor, and use an absurdly high gea...

Re: States

I totally had a 0 cm gap, 0 sec run time and was 0 cm away from the target ;) Why not go for the universe breaking -1 cm gap? Imagine if the rules counted the bonus distance as the distance chosen by the participant for the bonus and also had no bonus distance limit. Then you could have a -99999......

Re: Adjusting steering

Well, I'd advise using a caliper if you're doing this in the future to achieve better results and have a smaller bonus. If a 0.004 cm caliper adjustment changes your vehicle's trajectory by that much, you may want to consider changing your design a little to make it more precise.

Re: Adjusting steering

Did you use BaneBots? Since that would've been pretty expensive.

I also don't really understand how that would be easier than just turning a knob on a caliper tho

Re: States

I was an alternate, so there wasn't much competition. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to tell the target distance in case they use the same one for multiple places, but it was a whole number. I had about a 2.5 second time I could've gotten away with a 15 cm bonus for my last run, but I set the distance ...

Re: Angling the Buggy

How would you mount a protractor to a buggy and make it work (since as you turn the buggy the protractor turns too)?

Re: Vehicle Thickness

Oh c'mon! And I was really hoping I was the only one who thought of this... Any reason why the two axles are connected? That's not a diagram of an actual battery buggy, just a "design idea" picture you see when you check out bevel gears at servocity, so I'm not sure what function they were going fo...
