Re: Politics
I think there's no way a Capitalist country like the US can effectively stop this outbreak. China (don't want to say have it easy, but compared to the US) is able to quarantine and cut off cities and its people are fine with that. Chinese citizens don't know what freedom is. They don't even know wh...

Re: Covid-19 and Nats/States
Not to get political or anything, but since China is a communist country it CAN quarantine its cities and take whatever measures is required to contain the outbreak. The US, however, runs on capitalism and many small and big businesses are getting affected. If the US shuts things down, there will be...

Re: Elastic Launched Glider B
Is it normal for a canard plane to "wobble" when tossed and even out? It kinda waves like a swingset for a few seconds and then evens out when tossed.

Re: Superregional
can someone remind me again why Washington D.C. counts as a state? I mean where would D.C. go instead? Virginia? Maryland? I'm not too sure... It is my personal opinion that DC should compete in Maryland. It does not add to geographic diversity the same way that teams from Wyoming or Alaska do. Nat...

Re: 2020-2021 Events
No, no, no, no, no.... You got me wrong. ELG is my favorite event! I'm just saying that it would get boring fast if they kept switching Gliders and Wrights Stuff between the two divisions.

Re: 2020-2021 Events
I think they ran out of good Aviation events so we're stuck with Wrights Stuff for this long.

Re: Poorly Run Event Stories
Every ELG team before us had an average time of 5 seconds. When it was our turn, the proctor was very exasperated and tired at seeing so many teams fail. He was very grumpy and gave short and choppy sentences. After we flew though, his attitude changed completely and he was actually a really nice guy.

There are no easiest event if you want to do well, but if I had to choose I would say Game On. You just have to get to know Scratch and Rubric and make a basic template that can fit any theme.
