Re: Fossils B/C

What changes (if any) would you like to see to the Fossils list next year? Personally, I would like them to add more specific genuses and species to some of those orders or classes that have none listed yet. Like for example, a specific genus in the class Echinoidea. I would really enjoy if the lis...

Re: Proudest Moments

The proudest moments of this year for me was anytime I competed in fossils. After coming off a disappointing season for fossils last year, my partner and I worked really hard to make sure that fossils was a great event for us. I grinded so hard because it was and still is my favorite event. By the t...

Re: Ornithology B/C

Does anyone know the likelihood of the bird list changing by much next year. I know they usually tweak the list a little bit, but since they are replaying 2020 rules does that mean the same exact list?

So is Fossils gonna be next years event not Rocks and Mineral?
They said that the "2020 rules will be replayed" and Fossils was a part of the 2020 rules, so I assume so.

Re: Fossils B/C

Again, I'm free from my fossils duties (bc states was cancelled if you didn't know already) but I still need to add some stuff to our binder. Look on the NY thread for information about a potential unofficial tournament that would be avaliable to both NY and SoCal, and potentially other states that...

Re: Fossils B/C

In the fossil list, Do we have to do Anularia and Pecopteris? Im really confused about it. Yes, you need to be able to identify them. But, they are form taxons of Calamites/Psaronius meaning that they are classified as the same genus, just two different parts of the organism. For example, you need ...

Re: Ornithology B/C

Are we allowed to have handwritten notes inside of our fieldguide? because I’m pretty sure we were but our regional es checked everyone’s field guides for annotations before the test.

Does anyone know the age ranges of each of the isotopes are for absolute dating?
I just printed out the chart found at http://earthsci.org/space/space/geotime ... adate.html under "more parent-daughter relationships" and it's worked out for me so far
