Re: Final Action: Putting the initial dropped ball to the tee

You are right. In our first competition the ES interpreted the rule as clearance from all direction. We reviewed this with the Rule at centerville who will running the national event. "tee holder would not be subject to the 10cm clearance requirement."

Re: The competition: participant may designate a Timer

We received 150 points penalty for the Electricity not used other than action 3.c.x. which was supervisors mistake. Orelse we would have been placed first. We noticed this only after award ceremony.

Lesson learnt. Educate the kids to review the score sheet before you leave the event.

Re: Target Time

I used the mission possible official worksheet to find out the difference between the Target time and opertion time. 4 points per second deducted if the device completes before the target time and 2 points per second after target time.

Can someone confirms this?

Re: Final Action: Putting the initial dropped ball to the tee

I have found a way to safely deposit the golf ball onto the tee from 10 cm away. Would this get me the bonus points, or would it just be the regular amount, since the device that places the ball on the tee is already 10 cm away, not "automatically" moved away? Nice!! To get the bonus you should 10 ...

Re: Boomilever B/C

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't readily find it. What's the best use of a tested boom that held the whole load? My kids are a little unsure of some of the dimensions so we are thinking about just taking it apart and weighing/reweighing sfpding/re-sfpding each piece and using that in...

Re: Boomilever B/C

@xiangyu. How long do you bake and at what temp?

By removing moisture completly, will it not make the wood brittle?
