It's a thing that uses up time so that the run time of your device gets close to the target time. You can't use springs. One example that has been used in the past is a hopper of sand, wa...

Re: Re: PICTURES, SCORES, VIDEOS!!

From Michigan - Oakland Regionals, all schools were very conservative, 1st place was just around 2000 and 2nd place was around 1300. Not sure about Div C.

Re: Final Action BONUS (150 points)

If there is a touch on the Final Action and delivery system moves away 10 cm. Is final action is complete and is the bonus awarded?

Re: Mission Possible B

In section 5.h page 3 of Scoring, can someone give an example of what they mean by this section. I don’t know what a non spring timer is. Is this a separate non-scorable action so device run longer to reach the target time? A non-spring timer is the action from rule 4c. It may be one of your scorea...

Re: Final Action: Putting the initial dropped ball to the tee

You are right. In our first competition the ES interpreted the rule as clearance from all direction. We reviewed this with the Rule at centerville who will running the national event. "tee holder would not be subject to the 10cm clearance requirement."

Re: The competition: participant may designate a Timer

We received 150 points penalty for the Electricity not used other than action 3.c.x. which was supervisors mistake. Orelse we would have been placed first. We noticed this only after award ceremony.

Lesson learnt. Educate the kids to review the score sheet before you leave the event.

Re: Target Time

I used the mission possible official worksheet to find out the difference between the Target time and opertion time. 4 points per second deducted if the device completes before the target time and 2 points per second after target time.

Can someone confirms this?
