Re: Illinois 2010

Hey good luck to all as well. I also wont be on tomorrow as I leave at 9 am and miss the whole day of school :D I saw someone else also doing astronomy and remote sensing? Well, I'm also doing those so look out for niles north. Those two plus physics lab, and just about every building event. So i ha...

Re: Illinois 2010

It's really frustrating to want to go to Nationals but you can't because your team has no chance against schools like New Trier and IMSA... You should try to beat them in your individual events! If everyone on your team works as hard as you, then you can beat IMSA and New Trier and go to Nationals ...

Re: Illinois 2010

You're right about IMSA being quite improved this year. They're the best Illinois team i've seen this year besides New Trier, but they still don't seem as good as past years' national qualifiers. At loyola, IMSA beat Crystal Lake by only 1 point, and they wern't too far ahead of niles west, hinsdale...

Re: Illinois 2010

Any predictions for top 3 at state? I haven't seen how naperville central has faired this year in comparison to the other schools yet. The state is new trier's to win, there seems to be no real threat this year (except possibly naperville C). Also, there isn't a clearcut 2nd nationals team either. ...

Re: Illinois 2010

Hey I'll be at New Trier this saturday prolly doing 8 events or so for niles north... so ill prolly be sleeping/eating during awards, regardless of the entertainment. Last year new trier did a pretty decent job, I don't mind sitting around a little longer if it means the results are correct. It alwa...

Re: Remote Sensing C

Five sheets of paper and a non-graphing calculator. No other resources are permitted. Thought so. So how are you guys measuring areas on maps? Maybe you should get really good at estimating lengths? It's also a possibility that rulers could be provided. i drew a ruler on the edge of one of my sheet...

Re: Illinois 2010

Solon Middle School is going to a tournament too. I don't remember the exact location of their competition. It's quite expensive, especially charter bus. For people on Div C, each member is to pay $95 for the trip... I'll be doing Egg, Anatomy, TPS. This is our first venture into an invitation in I...

Re: Illinois 09

i thought new trier did better than 180 last year, i thought the 2nd place team (naperville central) got 180-ish, but 93 is certainly much better than last year. and they dominated the 2nd place team by 70 points, which is pretty crazy. If they don't place top 10 at nats i'd be surprised... top 5 pe...
