### Re: Boomilever B/C

Can someone explain the 'projection of 40 - 45 cm' thing... Does that mean the center line of the loading block must be anywhere between 40 and 45 cm? Is that the same for both B and C?

If you read the 2014 logs (OMG, I sound like Balsa Man) you will find a 1/2 in dia dowel fits the inside of the hook. Use your imagination.

### Re: Interpretation of 3e

If it says max 15 cm, build to 14.5 cm. It will give you room to make adjustments. Same for 20 cm go 19.5 cm. Make it easy for event super...

### Re: Interpretation of 3e

Another clarification that needs made is where is the hook distance from wall measured. Yes, it says 2.5 cm, but is that from the actual distal end of the metal, or is it from the inside face of the apex of the hook? If it is inside face of hook apex, it will be difficult (i.e. impossible) to hook ...

### Re: Remembering Len Joeris (Balsa Man)

Sad news indeed... Thoughts and prayers to his family. I too never meet Balsa Man but thru the years of discussions with him I came to appreciate his knowledge and patients to teach us all what it takes to be a champion. He will truly be missed. It's times like these that we realize how precious lif...

### Re: Towers B/C

I have a picture of a safety cage built out of 1x2 material. Is there a way to post a jpeg? It might even be something Balsa Man posted 10 years ago... Looks like a three legged Tee Pee. Wow, that does sound like my old 'safety tower' (Ver 1.0). I did post a pic (using in w/ a bridge as I recall). ...

### Re: Towers B/C

Good looking build, and jig. Nice job. Unless there's something going on that's not visible, should work well. One little thing you may want to try next time- putting the upper ladder between the legs, so load block sits directly on leg ends. You may run into crushing as you have it now. That might...

### Re: Pictures, Videos, and Scores

Took 4th at Frankenmuth with tower efficiency of 1706. It was a C tower, and I miscalculated my legs, resulting in one of my legs being .3 cm away from spanning the bonus circle. This was a hard and disappointing hit, as our tower had been built for bonus. The tower was the type that Balsa Man has ...
