Re: Astronomy C

Which of planck's equations are we supposed to know? Are we supposed to know the one relating to the energy of a photon or the one relating to blackbody radiation? If it is the blackbody radiation one, could someone send that equation because I'm a hard time finding a consistent one. Thanks in advan...

Re: Wright Stuff C

So what exactly is torque and how does the number of winds/the width of the rubber band affect the torque?

Re: Wright Stuff C

Ok, looks like I'm going to have a lot of questions :) First off, is the propeller pitch essentially the angle of attack of the propeller blades? So on a Wright Stuff plane, you would have a fixed propeller pitch? Also what would be benefits/consequences of increasing/decreasing your propeller lengt...

Re: Wright Stuff C

I am completely new to Wright Stuff. I really did not know how to start so as if right now I really just know how a plane flies and the parts of a Wright Stuff plane. I also read the Wright Stuff information on the scioly wiki. Any tips for how to get started?

Re: Fossils B/C

Recently at my regionals I encountered a station with a cladogram in it. What do you have to know regarding cladograms? Do we need pictures of common ones in our binder or do we just need to know how they worked.

Thanks in advance,
Akshay.

Re: Fossils B/C

I saw on this one test I was taking to identify which genus these trace fossils came from (an example is diplocaulus) and I had no idea how to identify them. Are these questions common and if so what are some commonly asked questions about a genus and its trace.

Thanks in advance,
Akshay.

Re: Fossils B/C

For chordata, I just put pictures of the whole dinosaur, pictures of the entire skeleton, pictures of the skull, or pictures of the teeth (if it is a shark). Do i need to be able to identify other parts of the dinosaur, like the vertebrae, or its claws.

Thanks in advance, Akshay.

Re: Fossils B/C

Sorry for asking so many questions but how in depth did you guys go for lagerstatten. For us we put what fossils are found in that lagerstatten and how the fossils in that lagerstatten were fossilized. Is that good enough?

Thanks in advance, Akshay.

Re: Reach for the Stars B

How do you guys match spectra? We have a picture on our cheat cheet that shows all the spectra lines. Once on a test there was a question asking to name these spectra and it was hard for us to match the spectra on the test to the ones on our cheat sheets. Do you count how many absorption lines there...
