Re: Binder Events

But now, with DP being binder, I have been spending more time trying to find obscure wiki articles rather than trying to understand how things like ocean salinity and water density influence the planet. Could you explain this? Why are you spending more time? Studying priorities shouldn't change? Ik...

Re: Those moments you will never forget!

Going into Herpetology last year at state last minute (a few hours before Herp started) because there was someone who was put into the same block twice. Most of the test was multiple choice, I guessed on a bunch of answers while my partner was actually trying to identify the specimens. Surprisingly ...

Re: Binder Events

As someone who competes in both fossils and DP, I personally feel that the binders are getting unnecessary. As an ID event, Fossils needs to have a binder. However, I do feel like the event has been only about knowing how you organized your binder and finding the answer as fast as possible on every ...

Re: Event Horror Stories

I was flying our ELG the day before our competition and the whole thing snapped in half. I panicked and reglued it together, even though it added more weight and it didn't glide well. Even so, we still got third, so I was happy. I'll never forget the sound of the glider snapping though...

Re: The Event that "Got Away"

Codebusters and Sounds of Music: I was hoping to do them next year when they would get cycled into div. B. Oh well... My dreams are gone. I always had an interest in ciphers and I really wanted to build an instrument... I guess thats not happening anymore.

Re: COVID-19

Chicago Public Schools are closing for the rest of March... Along with the CPS Teachers Strike that lasted 11 days, that totals up to about 21 days of school missed this year... And who knows, it might get extended, depending on how COVID-19 turns out.

Re: 2020 Friendly Science Competition

I'm interested in competing and it sounds great that you're all volunteering your time to do this. But would this be team-based or individual-based? And can people (if they want) try out other events that they may be interested in? Cuz I'm in div. B and I've always wanted to try codebusters/UltraTur...

Re: 2020 National Tournament: North Carolina State University

For those teams that did qualify for nationals this year, do they get to go next year? Because I understand that the events will stay the same next season, so it would be as if nats got postponed a year for those teams.
