The website allaboutcircuits.com is pretty good for beginners, although it isn’t a textbook. That website was a great introduction and relatively easy information, with a few sections that could be a bit more difficult. I highly recommend this one for people that don't have a solid grasp of physics...

you get really big cheat sheets so make the most of it and gather as much about the stuff it lists that you need to know. Also, the test asked about specific stars so learn a bit about those.

Probably a stupid question, but... How competitive, at an average Regional, would a Circuit Lab person be if they did the test and didn't have any sort of build? I'd guess "Not Very," but...
