You are supposed to use Cobalt Blue glass to filter out any sodium ions in the powder...sodium burns yellow, so by placing the glass in front of the flame you can get a clearer, easier read on the flame's color.dyt wrote:What do you use cobalt glass for? We need help please!:]

I have always gotten one, save my first year on the event (2 years ago.) The rules only say that the supervisor will provide a flame source either candle or burner, so I would venture to guess that you will for sure get a flame source; whether burner or candle will be up to the supervisor.
