Re: Maryland

Hmm...okay, that's too bad. Should consider coming to WJ since we have a pretty strong and established team =)

I only visited once this year to help with some fossils things. I have some afternoon classes that make things really difficult.

I do Dynamic Planet, Fossils, and Forensics.

Re: Maryland

I'm from WJ. Are you an 8th grader? If so, are you coming to WJ next year?

Re: Forensics C

Out of curiosity, has anyone timed themselves doing qual? About how long is everyone averaging per powder? (Perhaps I'm being OCD, but it's an interesting concept to try...) I'm a little under 30 minutes for 8 powders. I haven't timed each powder because some take considerably less time than others...

Re: New Jersey 2010

Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda is hosting the Maryland Regional Tournament, which is open to teams from all states, on February 27th, so it would be really cool if some New Jersey teams could show up to this. If you are interested, email our sponsor, Dr. Joan McDermott, at Joan_McDermott@mcp...

Re: Invitational Hosting - question source

What I was thinking of was holding two different invitationals at the same time at totally different locations on the same set of questions. This way, you wouldn't have to score against each other. This way, the questions wouldn't be online or anything like that.

Re: Invitational Hosting - question source

Thanks for the responses. I'm not sure if I understand why there would be a delay in medals or ribbons though. Also, I doubt teams try to cheat and share answers (blind faith in mankind?)

Invitational Hosting - question source

So our school (Walter Johnson in Maryland) is working out the possibility of hosting an invitational in February this year. We have never done this before, and I was wondering where most invitationals get their questions. Is it always coaches of participating teams submitting tests? Are there situat...
