Re: Trajectory B/C

Just depends what you want to use as your tube. If you use PVC pipe, the sizes most likely wont match up well on the inside and the rod on the inside will bounce around. However there are many ways to avoid this, and many ways of approaching the cannon design. I personally like the railing design, I...

Re: Texas 2010

The incident was a year or two ago, as far as I know they haven't done anything near that sort this year. We haven't been in any competitions with them. I would like to put that much in SciO as well, but with school, Key Club, and a couple different sports it's difficult :/. I'll be spending most of...

Re: Texas 2010

By the way my school, is NYOS Charter School. I am not sure if I correctly explained the disadvantage we are at, but without what has happened recently we are in general already at a huge disadvantage. SciOly is the only thing in which my school can compete with other public schools because of our s...

Re: Texas 2010

Oh yeah and if I understand correctly the failing TAKS scores are due to LASA students blowing off the TAKS exams because they find it stupid and irrelevant.

Re: Texas 2010

By my previous comments I was wishing to provoke a thoughtful comment like that, thank you. However in the past I have had some problems with LASA, shown by the team in general, or at least a few select members. Such as people standing up way before the announcer has announced first place for that e...

Re: Texas 2010

In C it should be 31. 30 schools that qualified for State, and also an invited school from Mexico. I believe it's usually Thomas Jefferson, or something along those lines.

Re: Texas 2010

good show LASA good show. However, it would be nice to see some other team win every once in a while. I mean it must get a little tiring always winning. you have to lug around those heavy trophies around and deal with those cursedly heavy medals dangling from your neck. Really, some other team in T...

Re: Texas 2010

The last Regionals is at North Lake Community College, March 27th. It's in Las Colinas/Irving (Dallas).

It's always the last of the year. If you want to find out just go to the A&M state website and the regionals are listed on a bar on the bottom left side.

Re: Trajectory B/C

Thanks Starpug, and Andrewwski is correct. By the time most of y'all will take Physics, trajectory won't be an event anymore. Kinematic equations are a savior if your device is precise enough, just do a couple calculations and equations on excel, and all of the work is done, with enough test shots p...
