Re: General Questions

OK, I'm always doing research for events and was trolling through soinc.org and came upon the Powerpoint for Mission Possible on this page: http://soinc.org/mission_possible_c . Found something there that I thought I should post as an FYI to everyone here. Take a look at Slide 11 which states: Block...

Re: General Questions

We want to take a 'first-aid' kit to our competition for possible emergency repairs during set-up. In SOs already run, was your extra 'stuff' impounded along with the MP 'box'?

Re: Egg-O-Naut C

starpug - Thanks for quoting the rules. I don't think our team will have a Neverending rocket trip, but ya never know... Maybe some of y'all need to put "If this is found, please call ......" types of messages on your EggONauts. That way, if some kind person finds it, at least you could ge...

Re: Egg-O-Naut C

I put a small square of duct tape on the chute, then punch a hole through it, then tie the string through that hole. Thats exactly what I do I use fishing line, but I never coat the knots with anything, but I've never had a knot come undone fishing line? have you ever had excess line on a knot punc...

Re: Ecology B/C

While the subject is very broad, I think there are still ways to study for the event. I consistently earn a 1st place in the event which would not paint the picture of a hit-and-miss test. Re: Thoughts? (on rule points)

Yeah, we're going to have less than the possible 10 Tasks, more like 6 or 7...maybe 8. But that's ok, I'd rather that our MP just works (without any Penalties or [ugh] being Tier 2'ed  ). Hey, anybody notice that the TSL listed in the Rules Manual only has 8 Tasks?

Re: Ecology B/C

Interesting, was the B div national test a stations test? Or did they just put the coyote in the front of the room or something? The C div test was a pretty conventional written test. Well, I wasn't there, so don't quote me, but from what I saw it was excruciatingly long stations , some of which ce...

Re: General Questions

Sometimes I think I almost hate this event...all this 'not allowed' stuff is driving us crazy. We're really really REALLY *trying* to follow the rules, but sometimes they're hard to figure out and sometimes it's hard to get a *clear* clarification. cypressfalls Robert - Are there ANY of your task-a...
