Technically, things got a lot more complicated xD
I read the clarification on my state website, and now it's time to do my last minute building, 1 week till states for me and that means one week to fix my final task xD

so then I am expecting a mousetrap activated final task would be the simplest?

Okay, at regionals our machine was pretty bad o-o We touched 4 times and half the machines didn't work. As for the photoresistor parallel'ing: They don't have + and - sides. The two legs are interchangeable; you can't put a photoresistor in "backwards" in that sense. My guesss is that I'm either paralleling the photoresistors wrong In your description of your setup, you don't mention parallel resistors. If you have them, you need to connect one leg of each to one battery terminal, the other leg of each to the same terminal of the motor, and the other motor term...
