Re: Crime Busters B

Hmm yeah, HCl + sodium acetate should not fizz to my knowledge... is it possible there was residue from some kind of carbonate in the test tube/container?

Yikes, I thought my inbox was bad, but yours is seriously overflowing with emails.

Re: Your Daily Random Comment

I will get less spam! lol nope, they will continue sending you things up until nearly May. I had a literal box full of college spam by the end of the year. And then the spam only intensifies once you get to college. I get like 10 emails on a daily basis and it's only gotten worse since I decl...

Re: Astronomy C

Whether you use you a binder or computer is completely up to you -- I know people who are ardent supporters of both sides -- but the most important thing for both is to make sure that what you have is organized. Don't just put pages or websites in without reading them; make sure you at least look th...

Re: tips for a noob?

Try studying That's a bit... rude... >.> What exactly is stressing you out about your events? Is it the amount of information, your partners, something else? In general, I'd suggest at least taking a temporary step back to de-stress, and make sure you're on top of everything else or that other thin...

Re: Game On C

Also does anyone know where I can find a copy of the rules? Last time I checked on the official website, it wasn't up.
Rules manuals are copyrighted and cannot be posted online. Your coach should have ordered one upon registering.
There's also an app for that.

When the Astronomy tryouts test has 36 full color pages and is entirely about the solar system... :| When you're in the physics building of the university hosting an invite, see the second year astronomy midterm posted, and can answer every question correctly despite having never studied Astronomy,...

Re: Your Daily Random Comment

Just got a department-wide email announcing that... we have tea.

Also, apparently Jocelyn Bell Burnell may be coming to UMich at some point? I really hope she does a guest lecture or something; it'd be so cool to hear her speak about astronomy...

Re: Forensics C

1. In my three years of competing in Forensics, I only ever saw pollen/seeds on one test (and it wasn't a particularly good test...), so I honestly don't know. Because the rules specify something like 1-3 subtopics from part e(?), most event supervisors forego it in favor of the classics like finger...
