Re: Water Quality B/C

Anyways, I noticed that, but deer/horseflies vary in color, and can be dark black. I got an answer already, though. Thanks anyways~ Care to share? I'd put the nitrogen and phosphorus cycles anyway because you don't know what types of questions you might get on them at the actual competition. And id...

Re: New York 2013

Any predictions for this year's WIDI materials? Last year was Googolplex, can't remember the years before (possibly K'nex)?

Olympiaddict, the rules are vague for all 3. I think the best thing to do would just be to submit a national clarification (or 3 :P ), and be sure to ask your ES about their interpretation of the rules before starting your run.

Re: Water Quality B/C

In other words, when the salt was suspended, did that affect the buoyancy of the salinometer? Yes, the salt being dissolved vs. undissolved would affect the reading on your salinometer. I'm looking for a good textbook that covers just about every aspect of water quality. If it doesn't cover the mac...

Re: Robot Arm C

I don't see how any item can go in the bonus jug without being completely inside :? And most competitions that I've gone to only have a couple arms that can actually function enough to score any points. If I remember correctly, last year the rules just said the item had to be completely supported b...
