Re: Correlation Between USABO and Science Olympiad

Does anyone currently preparing for USABO? WIll studying for USABO also help to cover biology events in Science Olympiad? Can't answer for USABO specifically but I'm sure it would help a pretty good deal. Last year I did USNCO and as a result I didn't have to spend pretty much any time on Chemistry...

Re: Chem Lab C

In this competition, do they give you labs to do at the competition or do you do them before hand? I'm guessing that doing lots of labs before hand helps anyways. Everything is done at the competition. Yes, practicing labs is quite helpful, but a lot of the time you'll unfortunately end up with jus...

Re: AP scores

Chem: 5
Calc BC: 5
Eng. Lang: 5
APUSH: 5

I also checked to see how much these were actually worth and discovered that if I get all 5s next year, then I can enter into U. of WA as a junior. Fun times.

Re: Sounds of Music C

What type of mallet would work best with a metal instrument? Would using a dowel rod for the handle, bouncy ball (I don't know what size) as the core, and then a little yarn around it work? Also, does the type/thickness of wood used for the handle matter? (Oak vs. Poplar, etc) For a smooth sound li...

Re: Sounds of Music C

Re: Science Olympiad 2012

Just a general question: What would attribute to making a successful team? Encourage collaboration among partners? More intense training sessions? Finding sponsors? Doing a lot of research and finding resources for team members? I'm just curious what works and what doesn't for some past teams. Yes ...

Raw scores never get posted.

With the exception of Protein modeling, which MSOE posts on their website.
