Just FYI, in my learning to ID I have discovered that prefixes and suffixes are perhaps the most useful linguistic bits of knowledge known to mankind. One example: Chondricthyans. Chondr- means cartilage , and -icthyans means fish , hence cartilage fish . Etymology is fascinating and amazingly usef...

Fossils808 i forgot to mention in my PM, to make it more fun, you have to make yourself think its fun at first, at least i did...honestly i thought this would be the most boring topic ever, but within a few days of studying, i began to love it. If you have old tests, it's good to keep them in your binder. Once, there was a test we had to take and the EXACT test was in our binder from a few years ago WITH THE ANSWERS!!!!!!!! We did waaay better than the people who had done it years ago...

What should one include in their binder about radioactive isotopes (absolute dating)?
Also, I know that for ornithology, there is one guidebook allowed PER STUDENT (or two per team), but is it the same for fossils (is only one guidebook allowed per team)?????

I love psychedelic/stoner rock, so my favorite bands are Black Angels, Nebula (broke up :( ), and Novadriver. I also like Nicki Minaj and Sisters of Mercy (well, Floodlands only).
I was looking for pictures of mastodons and there's a band called Mastodon which I found as a result. They're good too!!!
