I think the hardest part is the vast amount of information required. The topic is so broad and encompasses so many things that it is hard to know enough.

I was on Platte County. We got sixth as a team, and I got first in astronomy and microbe, third in sound of music, and fifth in remote.

Other than Science Olympiad, band takes up a lot of my time. I do marching band, pit band for the musical, Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, and solo/ensemble. I also do science knowledge bowl, NHS, and next year my school is starting a robotics team.

Since we go to a few invitationals, it depends on who does best there. Everyone chooses their own events and their partners, and everyone gets to go to the invitationals. After the last invitational, the coach decides the final 15 based on what will give us the best shot. It was harder to do in midd...

I have seen NVDI on a couple of questions. Its also useful to know if you need to explain something about using remote sensing to analyze vegetation for a short answer or essay type question.

I tried homemade wheels. They're pretty hard to make perfectly round and with the hole perfectly in the center unless you have good tools, which I don't. I find CD wheels to be perfectly fine and much more consistent than the ones I tried to make myself.

I'm pretty sure its supposed to be a dot on the previous quarter note and a tie. It makes the measure have 4 counts, and makes sense musically.

I've never seen the eye on a test either, but have seen some questions about how remote sensing instruments collect light and form images.

I would make the allowable ranges higher, especially if a percussion instrument is required again. The low range required huge bars, which made the instruments hard to transport or fit through a door like the rules required.
