Re: Your Daily Random Comment

I got a temporary tattoo from my biology teacher, and it says DNA on it. I'm going to put it on for states, and hopefully it'll bring me good luck. XD

Re: Ornithology B/C

They didn't have the cornell book, but I got the Sibley guide to bird life and behavior, and a birding book I thought seemed helpful. Let's see how mu...

Re: How does your school do tryouts for the competition team

Yeah, around 80 kids showed up, but after the first 3-4 meetings it went down to about 60. The room was packed and most of the time we brought in chairs, sat on the floor or use two classrooms. We definitely wanted to have another team and my coach had asked for that but he said finacially the scho...

Re: What makes a good team?

On a related note, does anyone have tips for motivating your team? Maybe write the name of your rival on a board? From what our coach told us, in previous years we would always have the names of our rivals written on the board as a reminder. Now we don't do that anymore. And if you know the history...

Re: Ornithology B/C

Another question: has anyone used the Ornithology textbook that's listed on the wiki? I was just wondering how in depth state tests are compared to that, because I have it and I don't have time to go through the whole thing, but I want to get as much info from it that I can before states. I bought ...

Re: How does your school do tryouts for the competition team

Yep, I'm one of those families. 7th grade and my homeroom teacher for 6th was Mr.Perinotti. Two kids from my class did SO last year. So you just moved back last year? I know them, and a few other 7th graders joined if I'm remembering their grades correctly.. 80 kids? Wow, your school could make a B...

Re: Ornithology B/C

Okay, cause I think someone mentioned that before.. I'm getting someone to copy it for me, because I wrote a lot of stuff on it. And since amerikestrel is in my state, it's probably better to be safe than sorry. Thanks to all that answered though :] Another question: has anyone used the Ornithology ...
