Re: MIT Invitational 2015

And somewhere in CA, I think Caltech is scheming a way to crash the invite :P But on a more serious note, I was wondering exactly what you think the projected registration fees will be. While I am extremely interested in coming, the cold reality of costs is keeping my enthusiasm in check. I had the...

Re: New Jersey 2014

Well traditionally JP Stevens has always been good at balsa structure events (and build events in general I guess). But the people who were responsible for getting us almost all of our medals this year (myself included) are all going to graduate next year...so I worry about the future of our club. ...

Re: New Jersey 2014

I am the founder of an organization called Science Olympiad at MIT that organizes MIT students to write tests for Science Olympiad tournaments and to volunteer at Science Olympiad tournaments. Our organization's membership is now in the dozens and includes alumni of many of the top national teams, ...

Re: New Jersey 2014

And is there any way for people to volunteer to create tests for NJ tournaments (especially States), people who read the rules and would make questions about the topics you're supposed to study? I am the founder of an organization called Science Olympiad at MIT that organizes MIT students to write ...

Re: New York 2014

Furthermore, our actual coach was contacted immediately upon disqualification. It seems perfectly clear who was the appropriate contact point I think that this^ point is particularly compelling because it raises the question of whether Ward Melville was treated equitably in the situation. If Harold...

Re: Letter to the New York Director

I sent a news tip in to WABC, interesting to see if they follow up on it. But there was a news story on a Long Island website that I linked earlier in this thread that makes Miller already look bad, so honestly, I don't know how effective outside coverage could be. Though undoubtedly the national o...

Re: New York 2014

Since people started talking about it, I guess I'll add in my two cents First off, in case there was any ambiguity, I'm also from Ward Melville. I've been in science olympiad for around four and a half years, starting in seventh grade. Science olympiad means more to me than I could ever dream of ar...

Re: Minnesota 2014

Good Job to everyone who attended Div. C State! There were a lot of awesome and competitive teams in addition to some great sportsmanship! See you all next year! (although I'll be a grad  ) It's the inevitable ending. You should help out with events next year if you go to the U! Speaking of wh...
