Okay, thanks! I was reading up in the old forums and I noticed a discussion about it whether it is better to wind off or on the plane? Which do you suggest? Also, are "O-rings" recommended or do they add necessary mass? Definitely off the plane, as if you wind on it you could risk breakin...

If a component opens. and nothing comes apart. is it considered separation. :D I would be wary of it changing shape in flight intentionally. I don't have a B rule packet, but it used to be it could not change form in flight. I would file an FAQ if you are still unsure. I don't see anything in the r...

Update on our team. Bot is built and have made several adjustments. Went a little crazy and used mecanum wheels which lets the bot go sideways as needed. The contest is hard. Sorry, not clear, 1200 is a single loop of 0.093 or so rubber. A double loop would never take that many turns and would overpower the plane if wound close to max. My partner and I have a vertical piston design where the mass falls in a vertical pvc pipe pushing the air through another smaller pvc pipe in which we put the ping pong ball. however, it seems that the ball is getting launched prematurely; it leaves the pipe before the mass can fall the whole way....
