Re: Heredity B/Designer Genes C Question Marathon

1)Conservative, Dispersive, semi-conservative. Semi-conservative, where replication results in one original strand, and one new strand. 2) introns are not expressed, exons are expressed in DNA after splicing That is correct! You may ask now. :) This is late, but vennowsah, yes, you are correct. I w...

Re: Heredity B/Designer Genes C Question Marathon

Alright, here are my questions: 1) Three models of DNA replication were proposed after the discovery of the Double Helix by Watson and Crick. What were the three models? Which of these models proved to be the way in which DNA replicates? Explain this type of replication. 2) What is the difference be...

Re: Heredity B/Designer Genes C

Also, am I the only one that thinks Heredity seems sort of easy? It is pretty simple once you have all the DNA areas figured out. The only thing I had trouble with was pedigree analysis, but that can be mastered pretty easily with sufficient practice. I do hope it doesn't get too difficult at state...

Re: Heredity B/Designer Genes C

Have you guys found any good sites for studying heredity? I've found a few. :? Well, DNA from the Beginning is a pretty good website for the basics, and this one is useful for the ABO blood types. If you want something more in depth, I would suggest going to a library and getting some books on gene...

Re: Anatomy B/C

From what I've heard, the systems for Anatomy rotate every two years. Nervous system has been here for last year (2013) and this year (2014), so I doubt it will serve again next year.
I hope I'm wrong though. Nervous system is the best.

Re: Heredity B/Designer Genes C Question Marathon

Is this correct?|Since the genotype of the male isn't specified, he can have two possible genotypes. If the male has a genotype of AA, then the four children would be: Genotype- 2:2 (50% AA, 50% AB) Phenotype- 2:2 (50% type A, 50% type AB) If the male has a genotype of AO, then the four children wo...

Re: Heredity B/Designer Genes C

On the double helix of the DNA ladder, which of the 3 major components of DNA make up the "steps" of the ladder? Two of the four nitrogen bases (Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine, Guanine) joined together by weak hydrogen bonds form the "steps", if I'm correct. Thank you! I looked this up online and could...

Re: Crime Busters B

Ah, thank you! They never checked.
You bring up an interesting point on the cheat sheets. Honestly, I don't exactly understand the point of them, since you can easily just put all your info on the sheet rather than studying for hours to memorize them.
I do enjoy making them though. :D

I don't think anyone knows yet; the earliest event notification I've seen was after state. Integumentary system is definitely one of them though...
